Have you noticed my typos?

I don't actually hate all my typos and here's why.

We high achievers have a lot of self- imposed expectations.

We have historically done well by achieving and many of us (me at least) got more than a little hooked on people-pleasing at some point after we noticed that pleasing people felt good. (We will discuss the distinct difference in ROAR)

When I see my typos I know how far I've come.

I accept my human fallibility.

My parents (Dad especially) expected me to get all As all the time and mostly I did.

But then that one time... when I had a (very appropriate) B- in band 🎼 and cried real dramatic tears over it... oof.  (Y'all, clarinet was NOT my natural talent.)

I am getting an A+ at NOT getting an A+

And THAT, my friends, is growth. 😂

I am a human in motion a LOT of the time.

I think fast and I act fast. For better and for worse.

I may have a twinge of embarrassment, but I know for sure that SHOWING our GROWING and embracing our imperfections makes more room in the world for others to do the same.

Thank you for noticing my imperfect typing and having a micro moment of grace or humor with me.

ROAR is a space for perfectionists to heal.

It MIGHT even be OK to accept yourself as you are

TRANSFORMation follows radical acceptance.

And if this sounds lie it's for YOU, then it probably is.
